We do not use vague warranty language. Here is a complete, plain-English breakdown of every warranty tier, what it covers, what it does not, and how to file a claim.

What Is Covered

  • Gunite / shotcrete shell cracks caused by construction defects
  • Shell delamination or structural separation
  • Settling due to improper foundation preparation
  • Gunite voids or honeycombing discovered post-plaster

What Is Not Covered

  • Cracks from earthquakes or ground movement not present at time of build
  • Damage from allowing the pool to run dry for extended periods
  • Physical damage from vehicles, construction equipment, or impact
  • Normal surface wear unrelated to the structural shell

How to file a claim: Call or text our owner directly at (346) 481-3835. We schedule a site visit within 5 business days. If covered, we repair at no cost within 30 days.

What Is Covered

  • Delamination of the plaster finish from the shell
  • Structural bond failure between plaster and gunite
  • Premature surface deterioration caused by our startup process
  • Widespread discoloration caused by application defects

What Is Not Covered

  • Normal wear, fading, or etching from water chemistry imbalance
  • Staining from metals, minerals, or algae not addressed promptly
  • Spot repairs requested outside of warranty claim process
  • Surface damage from improper owner-applied chemicals

How to file a claim: Contact us with photos of the affected surface. We will inspect and determine cause before proceeding.

3-Year Coverage

Machinery & Equipment

What Is Covered

  • Pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems
  • Equipment installed by CHR Builder as part of your build
  • Manufacturing defects covered by original manufacturer warranty
  • CHR Builder assists with all equipment warranty claims on your behalf

What Is Not Covered

  • Damage from running equipment without water (dry-run)
  • Damage from improper chemical levels causing corrosion
  • Wear items: filters, o-rings, gaskets under normal operation
  • Equipment replaced or modified by a third party after install

How to file a claim: We handle equipment claims directly with manufacturers. You call us, we handle the rest.

2-Year Coverage

Workmanship

What Is Covered

  • Tile and coping installation defects
  • Plumbing and electrical installation errors
  • Deck and coping alignment issues
  • Any finish work not meeting professional standards

What Is Not Covered

  • Normal settling or shrinkage of caulked expansion joints
  • Cosmetic preferences different from what was agreed in writing
  • Damage caused by third-party work performed after our completion

How to file a claim: Document with photos and contact us. Workmanship issues are inspected within 3 business days.

Important Notes

  • The 25-year structural and 10-year plaster warranties are fully transferable to new homeowners if the property is sold.
  • Equipment and workmanship warranties (3-year and 2-year) are not transferable.
  • All warranty claims are handled directly by our owner. You will never be routed to a third-party warranty company.
  • Warranty coverage begins on the date of final inspection sign-off, not the date construction starts.
  • Keeping your pool water chemistry balanced is required to maintain warranty coverage on plaster surfaces.
